Angelica Singleton Van Buren (February 13,1818-December 29,1877) was the daughter-in-law of 8th United States President Martin Van Buren. She was married to the President's son, Abraham. She assumed the post of first lady because the president's wife had died 19 years earlier. Although Martin was rumered to have flirtations, he remained unwed through out the rest of his life.

Raised in high society, Angelica brought the air of sophistication to her role as first lady. In 1839, she became the first first lady to tour Europe. After Martin was defeated for re-election in 1841, Angelica lived quietly until her death at 59.
