Bill Peet (1915-2002) was an artist and story writer for Disney Studios. He joined Disney in 1937 and worked on the Jungle Book, Song of the South and other stories.

Peet was born in Grandview, Indiana.

Peet left Disney in 1964 to write and illustrate children's books. His first book was Hubert's Hair-Raising Adventure. He wrote his autobigraphy in 1988.
