The Book of Jacob is the third book of the Book of Mormon, one of the four standard works of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS). Its full title is The Book of Jacob: The Brother of Nephi. It was written by the ancient prophet Jacob, brother of the prophet Nephi, who is held by believers to have lived around 600 BC.

While this book contains some history of the Nephites, it is mainly a record of Jacob's preachings to his people. It also discusses the death of Nephi.
