Botafogo is a Brazilian football team from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, founded on August 12, 1904.

Home stadium is the Caio Martins, capacity 12,000, but most games are played in the Maracanã (capacity 120,000). They play in vertical black-and-white stripes with black shorts and grey socks.

Its biggest rivals are from the same city: Fluminense, Flamengo and Vasco da Gama.
