The first Candlemass album was ``Epicus Doomicus Metallicus创 released in 1986, considered a milestone in the Doom metal scene. The line-up in ``Epicus Doomicus Metallicus创 was: Leif Edling: bass Matz Ekstrom: drums Mats Mappe Bj鰎kman: guitar Johan Langquist: vocals The next release was ``Nightfall创(1987), one of the greatest Doom metal albums ever, with some changes in the line - up and adding a new dimension to the band. The new members were Messiah Marcolin (vocals), Lars Johansson (lead guitar) and Jan Lindh (drums). This line-up is considered the most important and successful in band磗 history. The next two albums were ``Ancient Dreams创(1988) and ``Tales of Creation创(1989). In 1990 a live album saw the light and also Messiah Marcolin decided to leave the band. In the 90磗 Candlemass wasn磘 as successful as the previous decade and the band released some albums (Chapter VI, Dactilis Glomerata...) but nothing remarkable. In 2002 the band decided to re-unite and perform some live shows that had a great response and the result was other live album with the classical Candlemass line-up. Recently their first albums were remastered (Epicus..., Nightfall, Ancient Dreams and Tales of Creation) and a DVD is planned. This article is from Wikipedia.
