The CF-18A & B Canadian Armed Forces Fighter / Attack aircraft was originally manufactured in St. Louis MI., by the McDonnell Douglas military aerospace company are now the reserve of Boeing Military Airplane company. The term CF-18, is actually a misnomer. The planes are technically designated CF-188 (the name Hornet not being used as it does not have a suitable French translation). However, in every context except themost official of military documents, the planes are referred to as CF-18's.
