Charles O. Holliday Jr. (Chad) (born 1948) grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and earned his B.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1970. He immediately turned a summer job at DuPont into a full-time position as an engineer. He advanced through manufacturing and supervisory positions around the world. He was named CEO in 1998.
