Christen Schiellerup Købke (1810-1848) was a famous Danish Painter.

He was admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen when he was only 12 years old. He mostly painted the landscapes and portraits of various people and locations in Copenhagen. His paintings were noted for being well composed and for their harmonious blend of colours. He also drew portraits of friends and family.

Købke was a national romantic inspired by his connections wit other Danish national romantics. This period is also referred to as the Danish Golden Age.
