Claire Forlani (born July 1, 1972) is an English actress. She was born in Twickenham, Middlesex, England, as the daughter of an Italian father and a British mother. At the age of 11, Forlani entered the "Arts Educational School" in London, where she began preparing for her acting career. During the six years she attended this school, she learned also dance besides acting, what opened her the doors for performances like The Nutcracker Ballet and Orpheus in the Underworld. Having performed on stage, she was cast by the British Television for a TV series and a TV film.

Forlani's parents wanted to help her daughter to have offers for movie roles and decided in 1993 to move to San Francisco. Soon came the first offer of the American film market. She was cast the same year for the TV mini-series J.F.K.: Reckless Youth, and thereafter for the cinema picture Police Academy: Mission to Moscow.

Some movies followed, and in 1996 Forlani played a part in the hit The Rock, starring Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage. One year later her performance in The Last Time I Committed Suicide was finally acclaimed by the critic, and was for her the recognition of her work in previous, disappointing films.

With the picture Meet Joe Black, co-starring Brad Pitt, she became in 1998 widely known as green-eyed beauty to the American and the international public.

Forlani is currently single. She has dated John Cusack.
