Cliff Johnson is the author of the award-winning puzzle games The Fool's Errand and 3 in Three. His work is notable for its unique meta-puzzle structure and playful hands-on visual puzzles.

Born in 1953, he made Super 8 movies in high school and then attended USC Film School where he was a teaching assistant in animation for three years. His modest film career included the Monty Pythonesque animations for Nickelodeon's TV series "Out of Control."

In 1984, he bought his first computer, a 512K so-called "Fat" Mac, learned to program, and created his first game, The Fool's Errand, which games™ magazine recently named "The Best Retro Game Ever."
