Creation Records is a British indie record label headed by Alan McGee, lasting from 1984 to 1999. From the early 1990s on, however, its 'independent' status was severely compromised, since financial difficulties forced it into partnership with Sony.

During its existence it had on its books some of the most important acts in British indie acts of a all time, including the Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, House of Love, Teenage Fanclub, Primal Scream, Oasis and the Super Furry Animals.
