David Rendel is a British politician. He has been member of Parliament for Newbury for the Liberal Democrats since winning 1993 by-election caused by the death of Judith Chaplin. He is the Lib Dem spokesperson on Higher and Further Education.
He won the by-election with a massive majority of 22,055, which may have been caused by tactical voting of Labour voters frustrated that Conservatives had won the 1992 general election.
