Esslingen is a village in the municipality of Egg, Switzerland in the canton of Zürich. It is located approximately 10 km south-east of Zürich. In the local dialect it is called Esslinge.

The population is 1560 (as of 2003). A monument commemorating World War II is located at Forch, a hill which also a popular recreation area for the people of Zürich.

The town centre of Zürich is connected to Esslingen with a special tramway called Forchbahn.
