Final Fantasy Mystic Quest ran on the SNES, but was rather different than the other Final Fantasy games. It was sold as a "Beginner's RPG." The game is like one giant tutorial, helping you all the way to the end. It even includes an auto mode in battles so it can (try) to make the best decisions for you.

The game is more of an action/adventure game, making this game fast and easily beatable. It also has a rather derivative story, which is uncommon for Square and which is why most people who play the other games in the Final Fantasy franchise dislike the game. One other reason for the lack of support among fans is the abundance of methods to easily gain experience and items.
