Fourth World is a term which is used to denote several completely different things.

Among economists Fourth World is used to denote the poorest nations of the world who have not experienced economic advancement since the end of World War II. Most nations in this definition of the fourth world are in subsaharan Africa.

The Fourth World is also a modern-day superhero comic book mythology invented by Jack Kirby in the early 1970s.
