Frank Johannes Maria Houben (born 19 February 1939 in The_Hague) was the govenor for the Province of North Brabant in The Netherlands between 22 April 1987 and 1 October 2003. Houben will retire on October 1 2003, after 17 years of service for Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands. His succesor will be Hanja Maij-Weggen.

On September 20 2003 all mayors of the province of North Brabant will plant a tree in what will be known as 'Houben Forrest' as a tribute to his work. The Houben forrest is located near Nemelaer Castle in Haaren county in the province of North Brabant. It will contain 70 trees.

Houben attended the Catholic University of Nijmegen and the University of Pittsburgh. He is married with four children.
