Giorgio Armani (born July 11, 1934) is a world famous fashion designer. He was born in Piacenza, Italy. From 1961 to 1970, he worked under Nino Cerruti, whom he left in order to do freelance work. In 1974, he established his own label for men. Starting in 1975, he began to incorporate ideas from mens' fashion into a line for women. With its easy fit using mens' fabrics, the line was highly successful.
