Healthcare reform is a general rubric used for discussing major policy changes--for the most part, governmental policy changes--to any existing healthcare system in a given place.
In the United Kingdom a massive programme of attempted reform of the British National Health Service has begun.
Some of the goals of the healthcare reforms are usually :
- Get more quality (EFQM), information and election of healthcare professionals for the user.
- Get more protection for as many people as possible, with lower costs.
