The first HMAS Stalwart (H-14) was an S class destroyer laid down by Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardson Limited of Wallsend-on-Tyne in April 1918, launched on 23 October 1918, completed in 1919, and transferred to the Royal Australian Navy at Devonport on 27 January 1920.
