Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index HMS Pioneer was a Pelorus class light cruiser launched at Chatham, Kent in June 1899, by a Miss Andoe. She was transferred to the Royal Australian Navy in 1912 and saw action in World War I against the German cruiser Koenigsberg of the east coast of Africa.
