  • Hawaii State Route 78, the Moanalua Freeway, is an unsigned interstate H-201. An unconfirmed rumor suggests that the reason this interstate is unsigned is because the Hawaii Department of Transportation couldn't find an interstate sign that could accommodate the four characters "H201". (Even though the hyphen is technically in the name, HDOT doesn't put it on newer signs.)

Notes

This was the first freeway of any kind built in the Hawaiian Islands.
