Iolani School is a K-12 college preparatory school located in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was founded as Luaehu School in Lahaina, Maui around 1863, and moved to Honolulu and had the name "Iolani", or Heavenly Bird, bestowed upon it by Hawaii's Queen Emma, wife of Alexander Liholiho, King Kamehameha IV, in 1870. Today, the school's approximately 1700 students attend classes on a modern campus located at 563 Kamoku St. in Honolulu.
