Iona College, a college in the tradition of the Christian Brothers and American Catholic higher education, is located in New Rochelle, New York.

Founded in 1940, Iona College is named after the island Iona located in the Inner Hebrides off of Scotland. As a center of faith and learning, the island of Iona helped bring about the cultural development of Western Europe. The Congregation of Christian Brothers founded Iona College in the same spirit.

The Iona Gaels are part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and paticipate in twenty-two (22) NCAA Division I programs.
