Iosia is a quarter of Oradea, Romania. Contrary to many other "satellite" quarters of Oradea (ones that are fairly large but are located near the outskirts), Iosia does not display many large apartment blocks and is still fairly rural. It is located in the city's far southwest, and, although there is good infrastructure in terms of education, and, to an extent, transport, the quarter still has some unpaved roads and country-style houses. It is also the quarter of the paradox, since family-owned cornershops have now turned into brightly-illuminated convenience stores, and there are still many high-rise apartment blocks in between the rustic houses, as well as many modern parks with all amenities, and clothing shops, and more. The quarter is one of the most beautiful in Oradea, due to the fact that it displays an elegant and sophisticated rural touch, with most of the facilities and amenities of the city. For tourists, it provides insight into Romanian country life while still being in the city close to all the excellent facilities that Oradea is home to.
