Finally in 1996, Brad Nowell's band Sublime disbanded of a heroin overdose Brad Nowell's death at age 28 and then Long Beach Dub Allstars formed in 1997. The first album was released in 1999 called Right Back (Dreamworks). After that the next release was Wonders of The World with the hit single Sunny Hours. When Long Beach Dub AllStars broke up, three bands formed. Long Beach Shortbus, Eyes Adrift and Dubcat. LB Shortbus has Eric Wilson and Ras 1. Eyes Adrift has Bud Gaugh and Dubcat has the remaining members of LBDAS.
