Jan Betley (1908-1980) was a Polish painter.

Betley was born in Plock. Before World War II, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and was a student of two well known Polish painters: Tadeusz Pruszkowski (1888-1942) and Felicjan Kowarski (1890-1948). He graduated under the advisory of Pruszkowski (1936), and qualiffied himself as the assistant-professor in 1948. Most of his early paintings was lost during the war time. After the war he taught at the ASP.

He is known for his portraits, landscapes and paintings of horses and battle scenes. His works are in the collections of Polish museums and in private collections in Poland and England.

Betley died in Warsaw at age 72.
