Johnny Sokko And His Flying Robot was a live action television series from Japan made in the 1960's. It was first broadcast in the USA in 1969 and became quite popular in the next few years.
It featured Johnny Sokko, a young Japanese boy, who inadvertantly gains the control of a giant flying robot. He then decides to join the secret Unicorn police and fight the evil forces of Emperor Guillotine, an evil alien from the planet Gargoyle.
