Krain Township is a township located in Stearns County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 901.

Geography

United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 114.2 km² (44.1 mi²). 112.3 km² (43.4 mi²) of it is land and 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.66% water.

census of 2000, there are 901 people, 274 households, and 235 families residing in the township. The population density is 8.0/km² (20.8/mi²). There are 289 housing units at an average density of 2.6/km² (6.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 99.11% White, 0.00% African American, 0.44% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.44% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 274 households out of which 44.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 76.6% are married couples living together, 4.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.9% are non-families. 13.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.29 and the average family size is 3.56.
