Lal Krishna Advani is an Indian politician.

He is a prominent figure in the Bharatiya Janata Party and currently holds the offices of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister in the Indian government. In 1992 he created a major controversy by leading a "Rath Yatra" (chariot journey) across India to the city of Ayodhya, a trip that culminated in the destruction of the Babri Mosque.
