Lars Sponheim (born May 23, 1957 in Halden, Østfold) is a Norwegian politician. He is leader of Venstre, the social liberal party, since 1996, and Minister of Agriculture since October 2001 in a coalition government leaded by Kjell Magne Bondevik from the Christian Democratic Party

In 1981 he achieved a degree in agricultural science at the Agricultural University of Norway. He was elected as leader of Venstre in 1996.
