Leszek Miller (born 3 July 1946) is the Prime Minister of Poland and the President of Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej party.

Born in 1946 in Zyrardow. Until 1970 he worked as an electrician in Zaklady Przemyslu Lniarskiego in Zyrardow. In 1977 he graduated from Higher School of Political Sciences (Wyzsza Szkola Nauk Spolecznych). Member of the Polish United Workers Party (PZPR) since 1969 until 1989. In the years 1977-1982 he worked in the Central Comitee of PZPR in Skierniewice. From 1988 secretary of PZPR, and in 1989 member of the PZPR's Political Bureau.

After dissolution of PZPR, 1989-1993 Miller was secretary-general of SdRP. Member of the Sejm since 1991. Minister of Labour in Waldemar Pawlak's government, minister of Internal Affairs in governments of Jozef Oleksy and Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz. President of the party SLD since December 1999. Prime Minister of Poland since September 2001.
