With a population of over ten thousand, Lymm incorporates the hamlets of Booths, Broomedge, Church Green, Deansgreen, Heatley, Heatley Heath, Little Heatley, Oughtrington, Reddish, Rushgreen and Statham. Transport The M56 (junctions 7 & 9) and M6 (Junction 20) motorways are both within 3 miles of Lymm. Waterways Lymm is situated on the Bridgewater Canal, whilst the Manchester Ship Canal passes close to the north. Trivia In 2002 Lymm was the most expensive place to live in the UK outside of the South East, with average house prices of around £205,000. Ian Brown from the Stone Roses, various members of the Coronation Street cast, a number of footballers from the nearby cities of Manchester and Liverpool, and Matthew Corbett (best known for the puppet Sooty) all live in the town.
