Maurice Yameogo (Koudougou, Burkina Faso, 1921 — Ouagadougou, 1993) was Burkina Faso Politician and became the first president of Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso).

He studied in the Small Seminar of Pabré to became a catholic priest, but lost his sacerdotal vocation when he met Félicité Zagré who later became his wife.
