Mehdi Muhammed Ghezali (born 1979) is a citizen of Sweden who since February 2002 is being held at Camp X-Ray after being captured in Pakistan. He was apparently one of a group of 156 suspected al-Qaeda fighters arrested by Pakistani forces as they attempted to escape Afghanistan's Tora Bora mountains into Pakistan. However the US government has remained silent about the charges against him.
Mehdi Muhammed Ghezali was born in Stockholm and grew up in Örebro, the son of an Algerian immigrant.
