Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index Melodia Ruiz Gutierrez (born 1991), better known in the Spanish music world as Melody, is a singer from Spain who is a native of Sevilla. Some close relatives used to belong to a music group named Los Grillos. She released her first album, Melody in 2000. Her single El Baile De Los Gorilas (Dance Of The Gorillas) became a number one hit all over Latin America, and in 2001, she had a long and extended tour throughout South America, Central America and the Caribbean. In Puerto Rico, for example, she had to do two concerts instead of one, as planned. She released a second cd in December of '02 and she is on tour all over Latin America again in 2003. For her new tour, it was said that some cities she will visit have requested three concerts in a row to be performed by her at those locations. Her most recent project consists of her new hit single "Dabadabada", which contains her Sera music video along with two other songs. This article is from Wikipedia.
