MGM Mirage is a Las Vegas, Nevada based business engaged in the development, ownership and operation of hotels and casinos throughout the world. The company began operations on May 31,2000 after the completion of the $6.4 Billion U.S. Dollars merger of MGM Grand Inc. and Mirage Resorts Inc. Prior to the merger of the two companies, MGM Grand had been in operation since the 1960's and Mirage Resorts (Formerly Golden Nugget Companies, Inc.) had been in operation since the 1970's.

On June 26,2003 MGM Mirage announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement to sell it's Golden Nugget Hotel/Casino properties located in Las Vegas, Nevada and Laughlin, Nevada to Poster Financial Group. The sale is expected to be completed sometime in 2004 pending normal governmental approvals.

MGM Mirage's common stock is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol 'MGG'. Billionaire Kirk Kerkorian and his Tracinda Corporation are currently the majority owners of MGM Mirage. Mr.Kerkorian also is the majority owner of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer movie studio from which MGM Mirage's name is partly detrived from.

The company's corporate headquarters is located at 3600 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas Nevada 89109.
