The racial makeup of the city is 77.63% White, 0.37% African American, 0.38% Native American, 0.63% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 18.64% from other races, and 2.34% from two or more races. 81.03% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 13,766 households out of which 43.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.8% are married couples living together, 14.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.3% are non-families. 15.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.29 and the average family size is 3.68.
