Naboo is a planet in the fictional Star Wars universe.

It is the home planet of Queen Amidala and Jar Jar Binks, as well as Senator (later Supreme Chancellor and then Emperor) Palpatine. In The Phantom Menace, it was the site of a blockade by the Trade Federation, and a battle, the Battle of Naboo between the Federation and the native inhabitants.

Geographic Features

Naboo does not have a molten core, and as such one could travel through the whole planet in an underwater submarine. This has resulted in many swamps and such on the surface. Naboo has prehapes the most diverse geography in the Star Wars universe. It has mountains, lakes(there is a "Lake Country" that is featured in Attack of the Clones), forests and swamps.

The Trade Federation, being manipulated by Darth Sidious, blockaded Naboo inorder to protest a shipping tax. However, Sidious made them take incredibly illogical steps such as attempting to kill Jedi ambassadors and invading the planet.

The Jedi survived and helpped Queen Amidala and her court excape. They begged the Senate, but Supreme Chancellor Valorum said there was no proof and declined to do anything. He was voted out of office.

In the Battle of Naboo, Amidala took her planet back by force, and united the Naboo with the Gungans, and began a new era of peace.

Little is known about Naboo after the Clone Wars. Naboo is featured in Star Wars Galaxies, and tells us that Naboo is still around in the era of the original trilogy and that it was an Imperial world.
