Nakhon Ratchasima (often short Khorat) is a town in the north-east of Thailand, the Isan. It has a population of 208,500, and is the third-biggest city of Thailand. Geographical location 15° 0' North, 102° 6' East. Nakhon Ratchasima is also capital of the province Nakhon Ratchasima.

It is located at the western edge of the Khorat Plateau and historically marked the boundary between the Lao and Siamese.
