The NES Advantage was a large joystick sold for the Nintendo Entertainment System in the 1980s. The device was meant to rest on a flat surface at a comfortable level, such as a tabletop or the floor while seated in front of it. This way, it could be used much as an arcade joystick and buttons are used—with both hands, one for the joystick and the other to manipulate the buttons. With the gradual disappearance of mainstream arcades, this fact is often lost on younger players, who attempt to hold the Advantage while playing, making for an annoying experience.
