Unfortunately there is still very little information available to the public. However, it is known that Nintendo has announced that they are working on the system and that they are planning to try to release it simultaneously with--or before--PlayStation 3 and Xbox 2. We also know that Nintendo has admitted that because of this Gamecube will probably be short lived, however, Nintendo has talked about the possibility that the new console might support Gamecube discs.
