Nufărul is a large "satellite" quarter (cartier in Romanian) of Oradea, Bihor, Romania. Like Rogerius, it is like a mini-city, with supermarkets, large residential blocks and more. The district is located on the eastern outskirts of Oradea, and it is the gateway to Baile Felix, the famous spa resort of Bihor and Romania. The quarter is accessible by tram and bus and is perhaps the fastest growing area in terms of development and foreign investment, due to its position, with many highways and national roads leading from Oradea to other Romanian cities via Nufãrul. For example, Nufărul was home to the second McDonalds outlet (now there are many more) in Oradea, as well to many supermarket chains that were not available in central Oradea.

The quarter itself, although having a vibrant market and excellent transport, education and shopping infrastructure and facilities, does not display the charm of central Oradea, with beautiful streets, wonderful old buildings and churches, because of the fact that it was planned and rebuilt in Communist times.

The name Nufărul means water lily in Romanian. The name for the quarter came from the fact, that, in this area, there are many water lilies, the area extending up until Baile Felix, the thermal resort, where there are beautiful lakes with water lilies.
