Ohmynews.com is an independent news web site in Korea which greatly influenced Korean politics, and facilitated the election of president Roh Moo Hyun on December 19, 2002. OhmyNews.com's editor, Oh Yeon Ho, stated "My goal was to say farewell to 20th-century Korean journalism, with the concept that every citizen is a reporter."
About 20% of the site's content is written by the 41-person staff while the majority of articles are written by more than 10,000 other contributors who are paid small amounts of money for their work.
UK newspaper The Guardian called it "arguably the world's most domestically powerful news site.”
