Oudenaarde is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Oudenaarde proper and the towns of Bevere, Edelare, Eine, Ename, Heurne, Leupegem, Mater, Melden, Mullem, Nederename, Volkegem and Welden. On January 1st, 2000 Oudenaarde had a total population of 27,788 (13,569 males and 14,219 females). The total area is 68.84 km² which gives a population density of 403.66 inhabitants per km².
