Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index P. Arthanari Swamy (born 1958) is a resident of Komarapalyam, Tamil Nadu, India, whose profession is eating glass. In 1985, Swamy was suffering depression, and decided to crush a bottle into a powder, and mix it with a drink, to end his life during his night's sleep. Not dying, he repeated the act for his friends to prove that he had actually done such a thing. Since then, he has eaten and digested glass pieces and empty liquor bottles quite regularly. A bachelor for obvious reasons, he eats glass and drinks pesticides at shows for his entire living. The only glass off limits are thick soda bottles.
