Paul Burney Johnson, Sr. (March 23, 1880 - December 26, 1943) was a Mississippi politican. From 1907 to 1908 he was a judge of the city court of Hattiesburg, Miss. Two years later he became circuit judge of the 12th judicial district, with his tenure ending in 1909. Johnson served two terms to the U.S. Congress (1919-1923) as a Democrat. In 1939, he won the race for Mississippi governor, but died in office in 1943. His son, Paul B. Johnson, Jr, would become governor over twenty years laters.
