Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index Paul Kagame (born 1957) is the president of Rwanda. He was a guerilla fighter in the National Resistance Army, then the RPF. He became vice-president of the new regime in 1994, under Pasteur Bizimungu, but was widely seen as power behind the throne.
