Plainfield is a village located in Waushara County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 899.

census of 2000, there are 899 people, 342 households, and 230 families residing in the village. The population density is 267.0/km² (692.9/mi²). There are 373 housing units at an average density of 110.8 persons/km² (287.5 persons/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 92.21% White, 0.11% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.11% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 6.23% from other races, and 0.33% from two or more races. 17.91% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 342 households out of which 34.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.3% are married couples living together, 12.0% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 32.5% are non-families. 28.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.60 and the average family size is 3.19. In the village the population is spread out with 28.9% under the age of 18, 9.0% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 18.7% from 45 to 64, and 15.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 97.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 93.6 males.
