Pokémon Colosseum is the Gamecube incarnation of the world famous Pokémon video game series. Pokémon Colosseum follows the Pokémon Stadium video game series.

The game was released in Japan on November 21, 2003. The title has yet to be released in North America, but is due to be released on March 22, 2004.

The title supports the Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire Gameboy Advance video games and the upcoming remakes, Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green. It features all 386 known Pokémon, but currently, only 200 are available via transfer from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. However, the game is expected to feature the Pokémon from Pokémon Silver, Gold, and Crystal in the in-game RPG.

The game will also feature a first for the console Pokémon games. It will feature a fully-featured RPG that acts separate from the previous games. It will also star ‘’dark’’ versions of Pokémon, like the Pokémon trading card game featured.

While it will have limited storage ability, another Pokémon video game on the Gamecube takes over some of the duties featured in the earlier Pokémon Stadium games. This game, Pokémon Box, allows players to store their Pokémon from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire on a Gamecube memory card. This game was released in Japan on May 30th, 2003 and while expected to be released, a North American release date has yet to announced.
