There are currently two known games in the series. Both the series and the card game are based off the famous Pocket Monsters video game series. Mimicking the style of the original Pokemon video games, this series featured a character that wanted to be the best at the Pokemon Card Game. He would then travel between areas collecting cards and challenging “Gym Leaders”. Upon defeated all of the Gym Leaders, he would face the “Elite Four”. He would become the champion after that. The first game in the series was released in Japan on December 18, 1998. It was then released in North America on March 31, 2000 and in Europe on December 8, 2000. A second Gameboy game, called Pokémon Card GB2, was released in Japan on March 28, 2001. A North American release is unconfirmed. This article is from Wikipedia.
